FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Question:
Why do I need a videographer when I already
have a photographer?
Answer:
As sad as it's sounds, the number one thing most couples say about
their special day is that they
don't remember most of it. So much planning goes into your day for
such a long period of time that once
it's here, it goes by in a second. Having a videographer present
allows you to relive all the important moments
as they happened for years to come. People's expressions, the sounds
of the day, and all the details you've
spent so much time preparing are archived when you choose to have
a videographer present. Lastly,
reserving a professional to handle such a task means clean, steady,
properly lit, and close-up shots of your
event are a guarantee.
Question:
How would you describe your shooting style?
Answer:
Video Vérité is very unobtrusive. Almost all videography
is done from positions and angles that
are not in the general view of the couple and their guests. Lots
of candid and natural reaction shots are
captured of the couple and their guests throughout the day.
Question:
What if there is something I'd really like
done, but don't see in the package I want?
Answer:
Ask! If you have an idea or special request, we can work with you
to create a custom package
appropriate for your specific needs.
Question:
What type of equipment do you use?
Answer:
Video Vérité uses professional 3 chip digital cameras
for all video recording. In addition, sound is
captured through the use of UHF wireless lapel microphones, UHF
wireless handheld microphones and other
on-camera microphones. We also use camera mounted lighting for dimly
lit situations, especially during receptions.
Question:
When do you start video recording on our
day?
Answer:
If you choose an option in which you have use of a videographer
for a specific period of time, you'll
indicate what you want the start time to be. If you've chosen the
full day option, your videographer will be
available for a full 10 hour period.
Question:
Do we receive our wedding day video on DVD?
Answer:
Yes. All footage shot will be given to you on a standard DVD set in it's raw, unedited
form (1 copy). In addition. if
you choose to have your footage edited, any edited footage comes
on separate DVDs with custom DVD cases and menu screens.
Question:
Can we provide input into how we want our
video to look and sound?
Answer:
Absolutely. Video Vérité prefers all couples provide
the music preferences that they want featured
in their video. Also, your input and ideas of what elements of your
wedding's "theme" will be made a priority
and incorporated into your video so it will be exactly the way you
want it.
Question:
How long will it take for me to receive my
video?
Answer:
Most wedding video productions are completed within a 8–10
week period.
Question:
How far are you willing to travel for an
event?
Answer:
We can travel farther than you probably think! We will provide up
to an hour of travel from downtown
Milwaukee as part of the package, with only a minimal travel fee
beyond that. We've easily traveled as far north
as Green Bay and south to Chicago.
Question:
Where does you name come from? How do you
pronounce it?
Answer:
We get asked this one a lot. It is phonetically pronouced, Video
Vair-it-A Productions. The dictionary
contains the term cinema vérité, which means "a
movie that shows ordinary people in actual activities without
being controlled by a director". We've just made a play off
of the term!
